Ritual, Sound, and Collective Energy
Using music, movement, theatrical interaction, and ritual structures, Stone Orgy investigates how collective physical experience can function as a transformative and symbolic force.
The performance invites participants into ecstatic moshpit-like environments where dancing, rhythm, repetition, and bodily movement become forms of energetic alignment and shared release. Positioned somewhere between concert, ritual, contemporary performance art, and collective ceremony, the work explores how bodies communicate emotionally and symbolically beyond language.
Themes of paganism, embodiment, collective consciousness, ecstatic movement, sensuality, ritual gathering, and energetic transformation move throughout the performance as recurring motifs.
Pagan Ritual and Embodied Transformation
Stone Orgy emerged from Jasper Griepinkβs long-term research into matriarchy, paganism, language, ritual, power structures, and collective experience.
The project approaches performance not simply as spectacle, but as participatory ritual β creating temporary spaces where emotional boundaries dissolve and new forms of collective relation become possible.
Rather than reconstructing historical ritual traditions directly, the work translates symbolic and pagan structures into a contemporary performative environment shaped by sound, movement, repetition, intimacy, chaos, and shared physical intensity.
The atmosphere moves between familiarity and estrangement: something simultaneously ancient, futuristic, playful, and emotionally raw.
