Lineage, Continuity, and Myth-Making at a Cultural Threshold presentation – Vision Lab

Lineage, Continuity, and Myth-Making at a Cultural Threshold was presented in February 2026 as part of the Vision Lab Salon Series, an international forum for contemplative, artistic, and philosophical practices organized by Vision Lab, a research and arts collective originally founded at Harvard Divinity School. The series convenes artists, scholars, and practitioners in an intimate dialogical setting oriented toward inquiry rather than presentation alone.

The talk unfolded as a hybrid form between conceptual lecture, poetic reflection, and performative research, drawing from my ongoing artistic practice and long-term investigation into reincarnation, symbolic memory, and identity structures. Rather than proposing metaphysical claims, the work approached continuity as a lived and experiential question: how roles, affinities, and creative impulses appear to re-emerge across time.

A central motif concerned what I describe as soulgroup dynamics — the recurring experience of recognition, resonance, and shared themes between individuals. Within the talk, these patterns were treated as symbolic and relational phenomena shaping collaboration, attraction, and creative relation, inviting reflection on how human lives may be entangled within larger mythic and narrative structures.

The presentation engaged myth not as fiction, but as a generative cultural technology: a system through which societies organize meaning, transition, and transformation. Particular attention was given to moments when symbolic frameworks lose coherence, creating spaces for new narratives, identities, and forms of imagination to emerge.

Combining visual material, spoken text, and philosophical inquiry, the work situates performance as a site of perception — a space in which audiences encounter not conclusions, but shifts in orientation toward time, identity, and continuity.
